RESEARCH

We employ genomics, machine learning and eco-evolutionary theories to study microbiomes at the interface of nature, built environment, and humans. Our ultimate goal is to discover the principles underlying the diversity, functioning and resilience of microbial ecosystems and develop tools to enable ecologically informed designs. Below are several projects that we are actively pursuing.

ECO-EVOLUTIONARY PROCESSES IN POTABLE WATER SYSTEMS

DEVELOPMENT OF POPULATION-LEVEL MATRICES FROM HUMAN MICROBIOME DATA

PREDICTING WATER MICROBIOME COMPOSITION AND DYNAMICS

UNDERSTANDING THE TRANSMISSION OF BIOFILM-ASSOCIATED MULTI-DRUG RESISTANT ORGANISMS IN HOSPITAL SETTINGS
